Split - City Arisen from an Emperor Palace
"Nautika centar Nava" headquarters has been located for a decade at the maritime junction of Dalmatia: Uvala Baluni, in the western part of the city harbour. This exceptionally attractive and beautiful part of the harbour "Nava" shares with trophied sailing clubs "Mornar" and "Labud" and ACI marina.
The town of Split, founded the Roman Emperor Diocletian some 1700 years ago, owing to the natural beauty of this area. He erected a palace which is even today not only a tourist but also a business central point of the town. Long ago the town of Split changed its boundaries outside the palace walls, and now is the second largest town in Croatia and the biggest maritime town.
About 300.000 inhabitants live today on the Split peninsula. You will not regret if you take some time out for sightseeing, whether before or after your cruising, as the town itself is situated in the central part of the tourist region of Dalmatia, from which leads the easiest way for choosing the route for a holiday destination on one of the numerous islands.

How to get to marina Nava?
Driving your own car, at the entrance of Split, you should turn towards the tunnel through the Marjan hill, taking a glance at the one of the most beautiful football stadium, "Poljudska ljepotica". Having passed the tunnel at the crossroads with a traffic lights, and going straight for some 30 m you will find yourself at another crossroads, this one without a traffic light. You are here supposed to turn left and drive the same road for another 300 m. Please, pay attention not to turn into ACI marina! Keep straight forward till the red statue and than just turn right to Uvala Baluni. Welcome!
